Role and Responsibilities
As the Managing Director of Orange Train Wash, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and success. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Building Relationships
Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with customers, partners, operators, and external stakeholders in the rail and associated industries. By fostering these connections, you will ensure that Orange Train Wash remains at the forefront of the sector.
- Strategic Business Development
Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic business development and sales plan. This plan will encompass budgeting, capital requirements, and investment return targets, ensuring the company’s sustainable growth in the rail industry.
- Operational Excellence
Overseeing all aspects of company operations, including planning, organising, and supervising business activities and departments. Your keen attention to detail and leadership skills will drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Financial Management
Collaborating closely with the Finance department to manage the company’s profit and loss (P&L) and ensure that financial performance aligns with the company’s objectives. Your strong commercial acumen will guide decision-making and contribute to the company’s financial success.
- Risk Management and Competitive Positioning
Identifying risks and opportunities within the rail and associated sectors and developing strategies to position Orange Train Wash competitively. By staying ahead of industry trends and proactively addressing potential challenges, you will secure the company’s market position.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Regularly monitoring and tracking operations and engineering deliverables to ensure the achievement of targets and objectives. You will set performance targets for processes and personnel and ensure the effective delivery of the annual appraisal reporting round.
Requirements
